Biogenesis-Probiotic with Whole Food Nutrient

One of the most important factors for optimal health is a clean intestinal tract that has the proper balance of bacteria. The human body hosts a vast internal ecosystem consisting millions of both beneficial "friendly" and harmful "unfriendly" microorganisms, which inhabit in the human intestinal tract simultaneously. They enjoy a complex symbiotic relationship with each other; each contributes to the overall function and health of the body while keeping the other in check at the same time

The vast unseen world mantains our body's vital chemical and hormonal balance. They perform essential task relating to human digestion in order to keep the body in optimum energy levels, ensure proper immune functions and even counteract cancer causing compounds in the colon

Indications of Possible Imbalance in Gut Flora
  • fatigue
  • frequent diarrhoea/constipation
  • flatulence ('angin')
  • poor immune response
  • bladder infections
  • vaginal infections
  • skin fungus
  • allergies
  • lactose intolerance
  • chronic bad breath
The beneficial bacteria in the intestinal tract can be disrupted by many factors, including the use of antibiotics, painkillers, anti-inflammatory drugs, stress, excessive sugar consumption, excessive alcohol, chlorinated drinking water, carbonated beverages, food preservative and colouring, over processed food, oxidation and dehydration

Researches have found that altered levels of acidity and alkalinity in the gastrointestinal tract will change the ecology of the bowel environment, and thereby affecting the type, quantity and behaviour of micro-organisms. These disruptions could cause indigestion of food and affects the assimilation of nutrients. This imbalance may further lead to overgrowth of disease-causing putrefying bacteria which often discharge highly toxic by-products. The toxic gradually poison the body and it is the onset of chronic degenerative diseases!

Biogenesis provides wholesome goodness to our body and it helps unlock the bodies' potential to heal itself

Steps to Help Ensure a Longer Life Span

The above book is written by Dr. Robert Goldman and Dr. Ronald Klatz, who founded American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine in 1993.A very precise and scientifically orientated book on hormones, nutrients, vitamins, antioxidants etc and especially for those who wish to live longer and healthier.

I quote one paragraph on tips to ensure a longer life span!
  • drive a big car (2800 pounds or more). the survivability in a potentially fatal accident between the largest and the smallest automobiles can differ tenfold

  • avoid stress and depression.they are major cause for premature aging

  • exercise at least 30 minutes daily. it is your number-one defense against the infirmities of old age

  • limit harmful fats such as saturated fats and trans fatty acids in your diet.they are directly associated with an increased risk of both heart disease and cancer

  • sleep 7-8 hours a night.quality sleep is essential for rejuvenation and repair

  • consume little or no alcohol

  • don't smoke.with every minute you smoke, a minute of your life is taken away!

  • try to keep weight at or even 5 % less than ideal body weight. mortality increase significantly at 20% or more above IBW and 10% or more below IBW

  • mantain optimum antioxidant vitamin blood levels.animal studies indicate a 20% increase in longevity with optimum nutrient supplementation

  • early detection is the key to a cure for both heart disease and cancer-get blood tests and complete physical exams yearly

  • if age fifty-five or older, consider hormone replacement therapy, if needed, administered by a knowledgeable physician

  • drink eight to ten 8-ounce glasses of purified or bottled water

  • think young.aging is as much a state of mind as it is a state of physiology.lie about your age (especially to yourself).keep young-feeling friends around to remind yourself what "youth" feel and thinks like

  • do not "just getting old". fight tooth and nail to remain youthful and vigourous. at least 40 anti-aging drugs now exist, and hundreds now under development

Magnesium: Widespread Deficiency with Deadly Consequences

Hmm..sorry for 'abandoning' this blog for about 2 weeks. there were some problems with the modem and it has been changed to brand-new one- Aztech DSL605ER and I can start blogging back..:)

This time I'd like to bring your attention to a mineral that is seldom promoted/publisized-Magnesium, yet it is very crucial to our health. Some researchers even claimed that the surge of chronic degenerative diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, osteoporosis etc are partly due to deficiency of magnesium!

Magnesium: What Is It?

Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body and is essential to good health. Approximately 50% of total body magnesium is found in bone. The other half is found predominantly inside cells of body tissues and organs. Only 1% of magnesium is found in blood, but the body works very hard to keep blood levels of magnesium constant.

Magnesium is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It helps maintain normal muscle and nerve function, keeps heart rhythm steady, supports a healthy immune system, and keeps bones strong. Magnesium also helps regulate blood sugar levels, promotes normal blood pressure, and is known to be involved in energy metabolism and protein synthesis. There is an increased interest in the role of magnesium in preventing and managing disorders such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.

Migraine Headaches

“We know that 50% of all migraine sufferers are magnesium-deficient,”
-Magnesium works on the symptoms of migraines by relaxing blood vessels in the brain and inhibits the ability of calcium to constrict blood vessels.

Dietary magnesium is absorbed in the small intestines. Magnesium is excreted through the kidneys

Getting More Magnesium

The best way to correct magnesium deficiency is through diet, especially since many of the foods high in magnesium, such as nuts, dark leafy green vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and some fish, are part of an overall healthy diet.

“Any fish that is high in omega-3 fatty acids is also high in magnesium,”

Water can also be a source of magnesium but the amount varies wildly depending on the water supply. Since so much of the food Americans consume is processed, which depletes it of its mineral and vitamin content, magnesium is hard to replenish entirely through diet (cooking also removes magnesium from foods). Magnesium supplements may be needed to help fill this void. While the recommended daily allowance of magnesium is 420 mg/day for men and 320 day/women, many health experts now advise that adults consume at least 500 mg each day.

-Dr H's comment: knowing the many benefits of calcium to our health, why not increase the source of magnesium in our diet-or get it in the form of supplement

Berjimat Cermat..

Fakta # 1

Antibiotik tidak membunuh virus tetapi bakteria.oleh kerana dari awal lagi saya katakan, kebanyakan kes flu adalah disebabkan virus, jadi antibiotik tak perlu sama sekali.cuma dalam kes-kes tertentu, contoh-demam > 3 hari, demam yang tinggi, kahak berwarna kekuningan/kehijauan-jangkitan bakteria mungkin disyaki dan antibiotik perlu diberi atas nasihat doktor.jadi antibiotik tak perlu dalam kes diatas.harga=RM 15.potong.

Fakta # 2

harga ubat batuk + ubat selsema = RM 10.potong.

So berapa boleh jimat? :)

-potong ubat antibiotik, batuk dan selsema dan consultation doktor (awal pagi!)

= RM 15 + 10 + 20 = RM 45

Take home message:

Allow spontaneous recovery sebab ianya jangkitan virus yang akan sembuh dengan sendiri, walaupun tanpa ubatan.support child's body with enough fluids and rest.jangan bazirkan duit anda dan risiko kesihatan anak anda kepada kesan sampingan ubat!

Stress and Its Cure from Quran

Let us examine how Quran deals with stress.

Our losses are a trial for us:

“Be sure we will test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives, but give glad tidings to those who are steadfast, who say when afflicted with calamity: To God we belong and to him is our return. They are those on who (DESCEND) blessings from God and mercy and they are the once that receive guidance.” (2:155)

Thus in Islam, we do not have concept of the ownership of goods and life. Everything belongs to God and returns to him. So if we don't own that thing why mourn our loss?

a. Our destiny is predetermined. We do not have control on that part. What we have control over is a limited free will, that is our actions, our choice to do good or bad, to believe in God or not to believe in Him, but we have no control over tomorrow's event not related to our actions i.e. whether my wife will have a son or daughter, whether his/her eyes will be brown or black, or whether I will have an accident or not tomorrow. Worrying over such things is of no use.

b. Rejection of faith in Quran is called a disease. This denial of truth is due to arrogance.

“In their heart there is a disease and God has increased their disease and grievous is their penalty because they lie to themselves.” (2:10)

Therefore after lying to ourselves, we set up an inner conflict - between heart and mind. In order to contain that conflict the mind sends signals to glands for secretion of hormones like adrenaline which leads to rapid heart rate, perspiration, tremor, the basis of lie detector test.
This lying conflict could be due to "SMALL" crimes like theft or adultery, or big crimes like rejection of God.

3 stages of spiritual development of soul age

a. Nafsul Ammara: - The Passionate soul

“I do not absolve myself Lo the (human) soul is prone to evil, save that whenever my Lord has mercy. Lo, Lord is forgiving; merciful.” (Surah Yusuf, 12:53)

This soul inclines toward sensual Pleasure, passion and self gratification , anger, envy, greed, and conceit. Its concerns are pleasure of body, gratification of physical appetite, and ego.
Hadith "your most-ardent-enemy is your evil self which resides within your body" (Bukhari).
If this evil soul is not checked will lead to unusual stress and its resultant effects.

b. Nafsul Lawanunah (The Reproaching Soul). “Nay, I swear by the reproaching soul” (75:1)
This soul is conscious or aware of Evil, resists it, asks for God's grace, and pardon, repents and tries to ammend and hopes to achieve salvation.

“And (There are) others who have acknowledged their faults. They mix a righteous action with another that was bad. It may be that Allah will relent toward them. Lo! Allah is relenting, merciful.” (9:102)

Hadith "These are two impulses within us. One spirit which calls towards good and confirms the truth. He who feels this impulse should know that it comes from Allah. Another impulse comes from our enemy (Devil) which leads to doubt and holds untruth and encourages evil. He who feels this should seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil."

This soul warns people of their vain desire, guides and opens the door to virtute and righteousness. It is a positive step in spiritual growth.

c. The satisfied soul (Nafsul Mutmainnah). “O (you) soul in (complete) rest and satisfaction. Come back to your Lord, will pleased (yourself) and will pleasing unto him. Enter you then among my devotees, enter you in my heaven.” (89:27-30)

This is the highest state of spiritual development. satisfied soul is the state of bliss, content and peace. The soul is at peace because it knows that inspite of its failures in this world, It will return to God. Purified of tension, it emerges from the struggle with obstacles blocking the peace of mind and heart.

What should we do in panic and despair? In panic non-believers behave differently than believers. They have no one to return to, to ask for mercy and forgiveness, their life is this life, which they cannot control, thus get more depressed and increase in their state of wrong doing. Then we will see that if they are used to casual drinking will start drinking more and become alcoholic, or a barbital criminal.

On the other hand a believer should do the following:
a. Increase dhikr (Remembrance of God): “who have believed and whose heart have Rest in the remembrance of God. Verify in the remembrance of God, do hearts find rest.” (13:28)
b. Increase their prayer: “O you who believe, seek help with steadfastness and prayer. For God is with those who are steadfast.” (2:153)
c. Ask forgiveness: “And I have said: seek forgiveness from your Lord. Lo He was ever forgiving.” (71:10)
In addition to above we are also asked to continue to struggle to up-grade ourselves.
“surely God does not change the condition in which a people are in until they change that which is in themselves.” (13:11)

In summary, I conclude that stress results from lack of inner peace due to conflicts within us and leads to external disturbances in our behavior and health. Inner peace can only be achieved by believing in God, the All Mighty, and remembering him frequently and asking for his help and forgiveness in times of difficulties.

Nutrients for your sex life..

The body simply cannot enjoy great sex and lust if it does not have the proper nutrients to make it function. Just like we can't drive a car without fuel, we can't erotically ride without the fuel for life and lust.Ensuring that the body is replete with sex drive inducing nutrients, whether through supplements or food for libido, can ignite our inner passion. Some of the most essential libido vitamins, minerals and nutrients include:

* Vitamin A helps regulate the synthesis of the sex hormone progesterone, which is important for that loving feeling.

* B-Vitamins are crucial for reacting and responding to our lovers, and for flow of blood to the sex organs.

* Vitamin B1 is essential for optimal nerve transmission and energy production throughout the body, which is vital to increase libido.

* Vitamin B3 can enhance the sexual flush, increase blood flow to the skin and mucous membranes, and intensify the orgasm!

* Vitamin B6 is integral because it controls elevated prolactin, a libido enhancer.

* Vitamin E is known as the king (or queen) of sex vitamins, and is sure to spice up your sex life.

* Vitamin C is important for the synthesis of hormones that are involved in sexuality and getting turned on.

* Magnesium is important for the production of sex hormones and neurotransmitters that modulate the urge down there.

* Selenium is imperative for sperm production and mobility. Nearly half of the selenium in a man's body is in the testes and seminal ducts. Men lose selenium in their semen.

* Zinc is required for the production of testosterone and other sexual hormones. The zinc content of the prostate gland and sperm is higher than in any other body tissues. It is equally vital for the women.

* Essential Fatty Acids are the building blocks for the production of sex hormones. They also help the body store the vitamins that keep us sexually active and full of desire.

* Vitamin D deficiency may leave your sex life cold and grey, while plenty of this most amazing vitamin will bring out the hots. Make sure you get plenty of sunlight whenever possible, as this is one of the best sources.

Are You Over 30?

While HGH (Human Growth Hormone) is essential to the development of children, it is also vital in adults for energy, fat and sugar metabolism, mental competence, DNA, tissue repair, strength, bone density, skin tone and the immune and nervous system.

However, another hormone called GHRH (Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone) controls the release of HGH

After puberty, GHRH begins to decline, resticting HGH secretion and causing signs of aging such as increased body fat, bone fragility, weakness, wrinkled skin, reduced energy and loss of memory and concentration

Fortunately, scientists have discovered a special form of the amino acid-glycine, that increases GHRH activity. They have combined it with herbs, vitamins and minerals, formulated into a product named Over 30, to help you delay the symptoms of aging!

Main Ingredients:

L-Glycine

Glycine is the simplest amino acid and is essential for the production of the DNA building blocks, nucleic acids and the energy producing compound, creatine phosphate. it increases the natural release of GHRH which in turn promotes the slow and steady release of HGH

L-Glutamine

Glutamine, like Glycine, has many functions in addition to being a powerful GHGH releaser. it is the food of choice for the cells lining the gastrointestinal tract. it helps with cellular functions.

it is critically important for these cells to be able to mantain selective intestinal permeability (allow digested nutrients through, and keep undigested food and microbes from being absorbed)

Proprietary blend:

Flanagan Microcluster

This trade-secret protected ingredient is added to enhance the assimilation and absorption of the compunds in this formula

Stevia Leaf

100% natural sweetener which holds no treat for diabetic people, this non-caloric Stevia has also been used succesfully in aids of reducing digestion related problems

Fructooligosaccharides (FOS)

Known as prebiotics, it served as a food for the benficial intestinal bacteria

Other ingredients which act synergystically to optimize the result:

-Creatine
-Vitamin B2/B6/B12
-Folate
-Magnesium
-Green Tea Leaf
-L-Pyroglutamic Acid
-Korean Ginseng
-Trimethylglycine
-Velvet Been Seed

Over 30 TM (http://www.flantechasia.com/) benefits:

  • reduce body fat

  • rejuvenate skin-wrinkle reduction

  • improve immune function

  • regulate sleep

  • elevate mood

  • strengthen bones

  • thicken hair and re-color the grey

  • improve vision

  • positive effect on cholesterol

  • improve digestion

The Power of Specific Goals

Whether you are seeking a true health, getting richer, happier or whatever-you must start with a specific goal. I found this article from Dr. Denis Waitley, a world renowned speaker and author is very interesting.please spend 10 minutes of reading this-it may change your life forever!

Dr. Denis Waitley

One of the major reasons so few people reach their goals is that most people are'nt specific enough when setting them. when we are too vague in setting our goals, our minds simply dismiss those goal as IRRELEVENT.the mind cannot begin to formulate the strategies and actions without specific information, and simply will not respond to vague requests to get rich, have more or do better, or make money.

So set a specific goal and then adjust and fine-tune it any way you wish.just make sure you keep progressing toward the goal no matter how many adjustments are required or how long it takes to accomplish it.

Here are five powers that will help you create more focused goals to achieve your dreams!

1.The Power of the POSITIVE

Your goals should be framed in positive terms. eg instead of focusing on "not being late" or "not being fat", you want to concentrate on images of achievement, such as "I'm on-time person", or "I am lean and in great shape".remember that your mind cannot differentiate on the reverse of an idea, so keep your goals framed in the positive

2. The Power of the PRESENT

Because our long-term memory stores information in real time, our goals should be framed as images of achievement in the present tense. If you say " I want to weigh 130 pounds by next summer," your long-term memory won't even consider working on the goal because it is so far away-it will simply dismiss it as something that come in the distant future.instead tell yourself,"I weigha lean, trim, healthy 130 pounds"

3.The Power of the PERSONAL

Your images of achievement must be your. I cannot stress this enough. They cannot be your spouse's goals or your friend's goal.No goal set for you by others will ever be sought with the same passion, effort, commitment, or motivation as the one you set for yourself

4.The Power of PRECISION

Make your images of achievement specific and precise. remember, when you talk about your goals in specific terms, you will rarely fail. a good way for you to determine if your images of achievement are focused enough is to simply ask yourself, " Can this goal be timed, checked, or measured?" If you cannot time, check or measure your performance, your goals are not specific enough.

5.The Power of the POSSIBLE

A formula that works well is that your goals should be just out of reach but not out of sight; your goals should be realistic, but not achievable by ordinary means.they should be broken down into small, incremental action steps.remember, the best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time. so set challenging, realistic goals with small, doable action steps

The mind is the most magnificient bio-computer ever created.but remember, like a computer,it only responds to specific instructions, not to vague ideas. get specific, and soon you will have a gold mine of motivation with which to create your success and fulfilment

Stress Boleh Membunuh Anda!

-begitulah 'fight' and 'flight' response)

Ekspresi diri anda!

Emosi yang terpendam seperti marah, dendam, tertekan dsb perlu diluahkan.jangan disimpan kerana ianya akan menjadi seperti bom jangka!

'Happy Go Lucky'

Have fun and be creative and imaginative!

Wassalam.

Slow Breathing Can Reduce BP, Stress

Have you ever tried slowing down your breath? What is the fewest number of breaths that you can take in one minute? When you breathe deeply and slowly, can you feel your mind relaxing? You may be surprised to discover many benefits for your body and mind from breathing slowly. It may in fact be one of the most important things you can do.

Lower Blood Pressure

Research at the National Institutes of Health suggests that breathing slowly for a few minutes a day is enough to help people lower blood pressure naturally without pills or supplements. In fact, scientists believe that how we breathe may hold a key to how the body regulates blood pressure.

Relieve Stress

There are a number of reasons why this works. First, if you have tried slowing down your breathing, you have probably noticed that it slows down your mind (going into alpha state). People have been using breathing techniques for centuries as one of the most powerful stress relievers to calm the body and mind. Yoga, meditation, and chi gong are based around this principal.

How to do it?

1. Breathe with the abdomen. Allow your belly to expand as you inhale, both to the front and to the sides. Make a really big belly. The bigger the better. As you exhale, bring your navel toward your spine by contracting your lower abdominal muscles. This not only helps complete the exhalation, it is also an abdominal strengthening exercise.

2. Bring your attention to your breathing, keeping it long and even. Make sure that the inhalations and exhalations are of the same length. I like to breathe in to the count of eight, hold to the count of four, and breathe out to the count of eight.8,4,8

3. Breathe in and out through your nose. This is a healthy practice, as your nose is lined with tiny hairs, which act as natural filters of pollution, dust, etc.

“Breath is aligned to both body and mind and it alone is the tool which can bring them both together, illuminating both and bringing both peace and calm.” - Thich Nhat Hanh

3.6.08

Breathing and 'Chi'

Life is not merely in the body, the food, water or air itself, but it is a component of bio-energy, which the Chinese call Chi or life force.Where does this energy come from? We get some of it from the foods that we eat and the water we drink and what is generated in the mitochondria of each cell.

Air is also another important chi source. The energy or chi that is in the air is known today as Ions. Ions are produced naturally by the actions of the sun, wind, waves, moving water and especially from trees, plants, and other green life which gives off large quantities of these vital ions including oxygen as well.
______________________________________________________________

Specifically, it’s the negative ions that are so important to life and health.
______________________________________________________________

Remember my old post on negative ions.? I wrote about the abundance of negative ions in Hunza Valley water that makes it so miraculous.(click here for review).

Recently science also discovered many benefits from exposure to sunlight, which is another source of chi.see the benefits of sunlight here

It is also found that in the city, there is only about one negative Ion for every five hundred positive ions. In the village, this ratio is reversed to about three negative ions per one positive ion, a huge difference as you can see.

When we practice deep breathing, we're taking in much more of these negative ions than we normally do.

Since most of us lead sedentary lifestyles, we tend to breath very shallow, from only the upper third of the lungs. This is especially true when one is sitting for long periods of time. This slowly starves the body of much needed ionic energy or chi as well as oxygen. This has the immediate effect of making us feel sluggish, lethargic and tired.

Over time, this can lead to much more serious problem such as premature aging, dry and wrinkly skin, other diseases including cancer; since cancer cells can’t exist in an oxygenated environment, when we shallow breathe were starving the system of much needed oxygen and vital life energies that body needs to live.

A simple exercise that can be performed is to simply take a deep breath, hold it for three or four seconds to maximize the extraction of oxygen and chi from the system, exhale for a five second count, then hold the exhalation for three or four seconds, then inhale for a five count. That would be one rep or count. Repeat this ten times while out in the hopefully fresh air and then see how you feel.

I think this the most important step.whatever diet, exercise, diet pill etc etc that you take, it won't lead you anywhere if you dont have a positive mind ie "I want to be thin". notice I didn't use the words like " I don't want to be fat". why?

That's because your subconcious mind-the mind of desire, dreams, impulse and urges-responds to words by forming images.even if you say "I dont want.." but there's word 'fat' there, your subconcious mind can't differentiate that and the image in your mind will be 'fat' picture of yours!

Meditation

Words such as " I want to be thin" as above is example of affirmation, defined as 'statement to declare a desire'. According to Jose Silva, affirmation is much more effective if it is stated during meditation ie when our mind is in alpha state. (refer to my previous posts on meditation).so try to practice meditation everyday.it's also good to release your stress

Visualisation

Some call this guided imagery or focused imagination

Debbie Johnson, author of 'Think Yourself Thin: The Visualisation Technique That Will Make you Lose Weight without Diet or Exercise' lost 40 pounds and has kept it off for years using this technique.

Here's her advice for making it work for you:-
  • develop a "key image". focus on an image of yourself as a thin person."It anchors your mind to the ultimate fulfilment of your weight-loss goal", says Johnson

  • use all your senses-hearing, feeling, seeing, and smelling-to develop every aspect of the image. what does your body look like-exactly-what are your wearing? where are you? at the beach, on the tennis court? dancing the night away?-imagine the happiness you feel with your new, thinner body

  • picture the scene as if it were a movie or video about your new, thinner life-the life that you will be living soon

  • experience the Golden Minute.this is twice a day, for 30 seconds when you wake up in the morning and 30 seconds when you fall asleep at night-when you intensely use your key image and other reinforcing mental exercise
Law of Attraction

Applying law of attraction-use the phrase " I'm in the process of getting thinner body" -as much as possibe everyday. let the positive vibration transmitted out and surely you'll get the positive response.

Good luck.

Breaking News! Dangerous Substance Found in Mentalk!

SINGAPORE : A dangerous substance has been found in a brand of candy called "Mentalk".

The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) said it has detected the undeclared chemical substance aminotadalafil in the ginseng and coffee candy. The substance is similar to tadalafil(Cialis), which is used to treat impotence.

HSA warned that aminotadalafil can cause serious adverse reactions such as heart attacks and strokes in susceptible individuals.

Heart patients who are on nitrate drugs may suffer severe hypotension, which could be fatal.
HSA has advised the public not to buy or eat the candy.

It said that based on current information, the candy is sold over the Internet and possibly through multi—level marketing.
HSA is working with the relevant agencies to determine the extent of its distribution and sales channels for follow—up action.

Anyone who feels unwell after eating the candy should see their doctor immediately.
